I strongly suspect that I have a corrupt model here but how do i prove it/fix it?

I have received a large model from a user that causes Catia to abend whenever a SOLIDE update is carried out on it. On pressing the 'Swirl' button the update count proceeds normally until a value of 544 (out of 1059) is reached then I get an S-011 error. I've tried a CATCLN to fix it and this throws up some category 2 errors I then use the CATCLN modify option to bring the model into line but subsequent use of the 'update' still causes an abend. I've also tried increasing the model INDEX and DATA sizes and 'PACKing' the model.

Any ideas? ('scuse pun)

You should try set "Inactivate errors and continue" active
on update options panel (SOLIDE-UPDATE). And then execute update to all solids (mselw sol:*sol).

If model could be updated you can search operations causing abend from CSG tree (inactivated operations on tree) and fix them.

Good luck...

The S 0011 Abend refers to out of space as in declarative perameters. If you have a local MECENV.dcls you could modify this to increase the index and data sizes to accommodate the model.
The other way is to use the CATUTIL CATSOE batch process
and update giving the model index and data size as required then let the job run.

Thanks for your help, I managed to provide a soluton of sorts by using a combination of Catia itself and the CATSOE utility. By noting the point where the CATSOE utility "ABENDED" I was able to identify the problem elements and then use Catia to delete them, alright, long winded I know, but at least I managed to provide some sort of solution.
Thanks again
