Catia File Contents & Translation

We operated NX 3D CAD software (previously known as Unigraphics), and have ben asked if we can read Catia V5models.

My question is do Catia files contain the drg file also (like NX does) or is the drg a separate file. The files we have are Catia part files and there is some suggestion that these wont contain the drgs.

Has anybody had any experience of translating Catia V5 files to NX either vis specialised software or the use of STEP files?

in v5, the drawings are separate files from the parts.

Step works great for parts and products (Products are groups of parts.)
Drawing files - dxf, dwg, ig2 (the 2 tells catia it is a 2d drawing file. You can change this to .igs for the receiving system.
