Hello,

does anybody know how to set the Distance Tolerance in UG NX2 so that it is equal to the model size in CATIA V4.20?

I have to transfer data into CATIA V4.20 and there is the Model Size 2000 (for Automotive) in UG the Distance Tolerance is 0,0254mm.

Does anybody has more experience with this?

Thanks,
Pascal

pdwispe,

on the UG side you can do a heal geometry and specify what size parts to heal this might help. if you put in 0.02 it will get ride of all the surfaces that are smaler than 0.02. The command is under file export healgeometry.

Jeremy

Is it so then that Model Size 2000 is equal to 0.02mm Distance Tolerance in UG?

Customer wants this Distance Tolerance to be set to 0.002mm.That I think is in UG overkill.

If so I will change this in our Defaults so we have less problem next time?
