Catia Not Responding with step files

Has anybody noticed any issues when dealing with step files created in NX? A co-worker and I have started having issues with catia not responding(and never coming back) and have saving issues. It all seemed to start when we started step files out of NX and import them into Catia.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

we have v5r25 and nx9. i'm not having any issues. is it a simple part or complex surfacing? upload a stp file from nx you are having problems with.

I've never heard of issues with NX to CATIA using step files. Are you using STEP AP214 or AP203? You do have an ST1 license, correct? How large are the step files?

Thanks for the feedback, since it sounds like nobody else is having issues I will assume it is a system or network issue.
Surface complexity and file size don't seem to matter. Nor is it consistent, catia might lock up right after opening the file but then I can reopen it and work in it all day and be fine. Yes I have the ST1 lic and I have been using the AP214 format. I was exporting from NX using the direct catiaV5 translator but was having issues with catia not recognizing some fillets.
