Catia Parametrically model a Turritella Shell

Hi All,

I've been reading through a lot of the posts on involutes and logarithmic spirals. My end goal is to create a model very similar to this:

example of a turritella shell in Catia. I've successfully created a macro to run points and a spline for the center log spiral of the shell. I've been using the multi-section surface command to swipe along the log helix but get a lot of errors about cusps and surfaces when attempting to change the profiles used for the multi-section surface. Any help/tips are greatly appreciated.

I believe adaptive sweep in GSD is what you are looking for. Basically a cross section can scale during the sweep without the need for more sections. The pointy end of the shell will be the hardest part and will probably require some extra features to close off. I hope this helps.
