2). How to create solid sweep in part design?
3). How to differential between closed surface and solid?
4). In the model tree, how to know which process is activated/deactivated? There is any key to show the current step?
5). How to create/manipulate layer function in CATIA?

draw one curve - draw another curve - click RIB icon

one is a surface in a geometrical set, the other is a solid in PartBody or Body

the icon next to the feature
5). There is any key to show the current step?
the feature is underlined
6). How to create/manipulate layer function in CATIA?{/i}
you don't, it's really worthless in v5

But problem (1), it is very INCONVENIENCE for jig/mould maker like us to engrave alphabet on the specified surface. In Pro/Engineer, we can do it much faster and convenience than Catia.

That's probably your answer, right there, then... (after all, a tool maker has no need to release Catia data)
