Hi,

What's the best way to move a component to another one, using the XYZ coordinate?
Basically, perfect alignment of the both XYZ's
Thanks

Are they both in the same product?

Yes, the components are part of the same Product.

for a one time solution:

create a part (with axis) in each product/component (part will be at origin if you answer no to popup), then snap with axis one part to the other with top level active.

if you need to do that several times you might consider a script.

get relative position from ref component, then apply it to other component.

Hope this help

Right Click on the Compass
Select Snap Automatically to Selected Object
Select Target Part (Compass Jumps to 0, 0, 0 location of the part)
Double Click the Compass or Right Click the Compass and Select 'Edit'
The top half of the dialog box will show this objects current position
Record the values in the 6 fields
Close the Dialog box
Select the Part to Move
Double Click the Compass or Right Click the Compass and Select 'Edit'
Enter the Recorded Values into the Corresponding Fields
Click Apply

This operation can be executed relative to the Absolute values (Root CATProduct) or the 'Active Object' (Blue Bar activate Product) by selecting the desired option from the top of the Compass Edit dialog box.

You could also apply a fix constraint to each part object. After doing so you can read the 6 values from the Definition dialog box of the fix constraint and apply those values to the other Fix constraint's values.

Thanks, Ferdo!
I had an interview with this subject........
I was able to do it, but did it by chance.
You know me, I am the disciple of the logical connection, I hate to relay on good luck in this area!
Thanks for your input!

I like to use the "Translation or Rotation" command, the "Position" tab works well for manipulating or just checking product/part location. I add it to the "Move" toolbar

I add a Coincidence constraint between the Axis system of each part. Just have to pick the Axis in the tree.
