I just stumbled across their web page, and I was curious if anyone has taken any CATIA classes from Ascent and what were your opinions.

From the little bit I've seen, their course material looks pretty good but also a little pricey.

Derek,

I'm aware of Maverick, but never took any classes from them.

I was more interested in the CATIA training books that Ascent sells.

Would you recommend Maverick for instructor-led training?

Jack

I have called Maverick solutions with problems with CATIA V5 questions and for the most part - the questions was half solved. The other half of the problem I figured out my self. I am under the impression that they have very limited experience with V4 to V5 migration.

I have a 3 month contract coming up, after that I am signing up for a 6 month unlimited training. I really just want to fine tune a few areas. From what I hear, Magna sends their people to Maverick for training. Like all class room based training, you will have to "put it together" when you are back at your facility.

Regards,
Derek

DBezaire,

I'm with a Magna division and have had training at Ascendbridge. You are right on the money when you say you have to "put it together" back at your own facility.

Hi Jack,

I work for ASCENT/RAND. I typically monitor this forum to see what questions users have and try to integrate content that addresses these issues into our training material.

It didn't appear that your original question on our books was being answered, so I thought I would provide contact info so I can answer any questions you have.

Owen,

I was working for a DS busines partner when I join this forum. I, like you, was reading this forum to learn about users... so like you I used that in my training.

I (we) am pleased to welcome your new account. And I (we) hope you will help users on this forum like they help you...

I have taken a lot of training classes with RAND in the past. In my opinion, they provide the best-in-class training throughout the PLM community. Their manuals are #1.
