Catia V4 doesn't start

I succesfully exit from catia and I tried again to start catia clicking on CatMotif icon but this time catia didn't start. I tried all options i.e, cold start, warm start and all other avialable option but no sucess. We don't have any help and our IT guy is on vacation. Can any body help us to start catia. Thanks. Raj

You need to check to make sure that your license server is running... (I'm not sure how you will do this without the admin)

The way to do it, if you can, is to login as root, (or su root) and find the i4blt command. You may or may not have a logical link.

Mine is located at /var/ifor/i4blt

You can find it by issuing the following: find / -name "i4blt"

YOu will know if it's running, because it should tell so. Likewise, it will tell you if the license server processes have been stopped.

Also, check your CATLIC.dcls file, and make sure that you have your proper licenses declared. (you will have to be root user or catadm to do this, and only catadm can write to the file)
