Catia V5 Detail Sheet Creation

I would like to know how to create a detail sheet by copying selected 2-D geometry.
I tried searching in the forum with no luck.

- Create a Detail Sheet (if one does not already exist)
- Add new view
- Copy 2d stuff and paste in active detail view.
- Rename View
- Enjoy

I guess I need more detailed instructions.
I created the new detail sheet.
Tried to copy and paste geometry into sheet and I get the
message "nothing to paste"
