This question goes out to V5 users with UG experience,
In UG if I wanted to create say, a datum plane, I could approach it in two ways. I could select the "Datum Plane" icon and create a datum or, if I didn't have an icon visible in a toolbar, I could select Insert/Datum/Datum Plane and create my datum plane this way.
In V5 ( and I am a newbie) if I want to create a datum plane I would select the "Plane" icon. My question is, lets say I don't have the "Reference Elements" toolbar turned on (View/Toolbars/Reference Elements)is there any other way I could access the "plane" feature? As a newbie, I haven't quite set up all my toolbars properly and am curious if I can access features in more than one way. For example, with "Pad", I can access it by picking the pad icon but I can also access it Insert/Sketched Base Features/Pad. Why are some features accesible in more than one way and others not? Am I correct in what I say?
Thank You in advance.
p.s. I understand that Catia is not UG and vice versa.
