CATIA V5/V6 mold toling modules 1

Welcome Catia users!
Since 5 years I'm mold designer. I work with Siemens NX.
In this month, my company bought Catia with mold tooling modules.
I'd like ask users, who can customize configuration standard Catia mold library?


Specifically, I would like to modify the HASCO standard elements and add a few my components (sliders, angle inserts, drives, etc.).
I can do this with NX, but not with Catia

You can modify HASCO standard components. If you have write permission, modify the component under (Note B21 is the version)
C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B21\win_b64\startup\components\MoldCatalog

You need Product Knowledge Template (PKT) and Knowledge Advisor (KWA) to catalog assemblies.
PKT will allow the packaging of Products/Parts and Drawings. This module is essential for cataloging assemblies.
KWA will give you the ability to add rules/reactions/checks to those assemblies. This module will enforce design standards.

DBezaire, thank's for reply, but I'm starting to work with Cv6. Cv5 I use for educational purposes only.
Until I learn knowledgeware V6, I will use an alternative solution.
My supplier provides catalog of standard elements which generates CATSCRIPT.
Unfortunately, Cv6 displays "file prepared for Cv5" or something like that.
Does CATSCRIPT Cv6 can be used with Cv5?
I do not find any settings regarding CATSCRIPT in Cv6.

Soliera, V5 scripts will not be compatible with V6. We are not testing V6 implementation yet so I wont be much help on CATSCRIPT settings.

Soliera, from your question "Does CATSCRIPT Cv6 can be used with Cv5?" I understood that you have a CATScript which is creating some standard parts in v6 and you want to use it also in v5.

As far as I know, the designing side in v6 is quite similar like in v5 , v6 has in addition a complete different way to manage parts. In my opinion CATScripts used in v5 should work, maybe with small changes (should be quite similar with v5 working with VPM-3DCom).
