Hi All,
I am having a problem where my drafting is losing it's link to the model. When I try and replace the link, I see no links in the links dialog box. It seems to be fine for most of the time and then it suddenly decides to drop the links. It never really says anything about the links being missing, but you just can't see them or do updates etc.
Any thoughts????

Thanks, Gary.

The only way that it should be able to "lose" a link, and not show you anything in the edit links dialog, is if you have isolated the view.

Losing links because of moved files and whatnot, is really not that uncommon. But if you don't have some sort of feedback - like link name, followed by "no found" - you have yourself an isolated view, and must recreate it.

solid7, that is the strange thing, the views have not been isolated and if i was to move the parts, it would complain about the links but still not show anything in the links dialog box. from time to time it shows the update icon in the tree for updates. wierd. not a bug?
thanks, gary.

If the views ARE linked, but edit links is NOT showing anything, then I suspect your drawing is corrupt. Open a PMR and submit it to DS to let them look at it.
