I'm trying to use an image as a material surface, but whenever I try to edit the Properties under Apply Material, there is no 'OK' button. I desperately need to change the Scale U,V and Position U,V of the image because I'm trying to work on this tutorial attached.

Slide A-7 is where I'm having problems. I went to create new materials in the catalog but it still boils down to actually modifying the material properties, which I am unable to do. Hope someone can help me out as this is a really minor and frustrating issue. Thank you!

The material catalog is read only. You need to make a copy of it and change the Default Material Catalog Path. You can access the path if (inside catia) you go to Tools - Options - Infrastructure - Material Library.
I would open the .CATMaterial catalog and copy/paste then modify the properties. Save and exit. Open your .CATPart and apply your new custom material.

So I made a copy in the same folder as the Default Catalog called ActuallyWorks.CATMaterial. However, the same issues arises, mainly that I can't click 'OK' (as per the image attached) and I cannot edit the image properties.

Could it be an OS issue? I have noticed in some cases that the OS considers everything in program files as read only, have you tried to move the path outside program files?

Still no dice, I have moved and copied all the relevant images to a separate folder where I put my CATPart file in, made sure nothing was set to read-only, and still the OK button doesn't show up.

There's an option about this but I'm not sure if it applies to what you're doing specifically. Look in Tools > Options > Infrastructure > Material Library. I see a check box there called "Open the catalog in read-write mode when applying a material"

Maybe?

Cheers,
Mark

Hi MarkAF, thanks for your response! Though I did try it both checked and unchecked (and any permutation and combination of settings that I could think of) and still nothing. Am a little annoyed but I guess I'll have to manually edit the image till it fits what I want to do for now.

Have you tried to open the catmaterial file? file->open
