Hi,
I am working in GSD. I have a surface that is somehow rounded, irregular. I need to create squares(square grid) on it - meaning when I look onto the surface onto any point from normal view I need to see square over there. I tried to create square grid as a sketch on a tangent plane, but when i do Projection (normal or anyhow) the squares become always distorted. I also tried wrap function (in final the square grid should be a support for a 'grid surface'), but there is a distortion as well. Any ideas how to solve it?

Do not project normal to the surface, project along a direction, normal to the sketch plane. The lines will only appear as squares in the view you project in because it is a curved surface.

I'm not sure I follow what you want to achieve, have you tried use "work on support"?

Another possible option:
Try creating two lines (curves) on the surface that are perpendicular to eachother, then offset those two curves (using parallel curve) the size of the square(s).
To get the two perpendicular lines either intesect the surface with two planes that are perpendicular, or try by creating isoparametric curves.
