Hello everybody,

Someone knows the Cavett correlation for liquid enthalpy estimation?. This is a method that Hysys uses to perform liquid enthalpy calculations, concretely to obtain enthalpy and entropy departure functions. I ' ve searched for references but I haven't found anything.

I hope your help.

Best regards.

Thank's owg for your quick and exact answer.

Another question: This paper is included in API Technical Databook?

To step in here, it might be. According to the API web site download of the API Publication Index, the technical databook "provides access to the latest API physical property estimation methods" and users "can quickly determine"...liquid enthalpy.

But it is a patented database and I don't have access to it, so I don't know for sure.

I checked out copy of the API Tech Data Book. It is not the latest version. There is no reference to Cavett in the bibliographies at the end of the appropriate chapters. The API Data Book often provides the equations used with some explanation, but I have not seen any examples of it reproducing a paper. The API Data Book draws on the work of Lee and Kesler for the liquid enthalpy data for mixed streams.
