Cavitation

i'm running a transient model of pump station, and i found that there is a vapor volume in some pipes, and i don't know how to evaluate this volume: I mean that how can i know that volume is high or it is negligeable ?! Or it shoudn't exist even ?

Presuming that you want to operate in single phase liquid flow, you don't want vapors. Increase the pressure at vapor location points until they go away.
