CE mark/compliance for CTs

Can anyone, especially you European Folks, tell me anything about CE requirements for instrument transformers, and more specifically CTs. I have encountered this request several times and no one can tell me if they are even covered in any standard/directive or if any testing body has ever approved compliance for these products. I keep running into dead ends here.

I would appreciate any and all comments on this subject.
