What should be the chemical makeup of a cement?

Portland Cement is derived from the following chemical reactions:

CaCO3 + Heat -> CaO + CO2|

CaO + H20 -> Ca(OH)2 + heat|

Ca(OH)2 + CO2 -> CaCO3 + H2O

Typically, their are additives to the cement making process, leaving the following as the typical chemical analysis:

CaO, lime 63%
SiO2, Silica 21%
Al2O2, Alumina 6%
FE2O2, Iron 2.4%
SO3 2.2%
MgO 2.6%
Na2O 0.12%
K20 0.94%
Free CaO 1.43%
