Dear All:

I'm modeling a 3-D model consisting of frame, shell, and solid elements. I was wondering if there is a way to determine a center of gravity of the model. If so, could you please shade me some light on this?

Thank you,

kchansaw

The best way is doing this by hand (EXCEL sheet or something) because SAP and ETABS they only tells you the center of rigidity (i don't know if is well written) the center of mass let's say on ETABS is calculated automatically if you select the option on SAP is the same, it calculates the mass based on the frames and shells
