I draw lamp and I want to easily show the pin center to center dimensions. Currently I draw a tiny line perpendicular from the center of each pin and then dimension these. But am I missing something here? Is there an easier way? I am on SW2010 SP2.1.

I take it you are in a Drawing and viewing the pins from the side instead of a plan view. Inserting centerlines might be easier, as would inserting dims.

Have you read faq731-376 to make the best use of these Forums?

Yes I am in drawing. I created the part and then made a drawing from it. I am looking at a side view of the lamp and want to show dimensions for the pin spacing.

Yeah, insert 'centerlines' in the Annotations menu. Dimension to them.

With centerlines, you can select the cylindrical face you wish to apply the CL to (instead of trying to pick silhouette lines).
