Hello all,

I am working on pro-e wildfire 2.0.
My system config is P4 2.5ghz and 512mb ram.
When i enter the sketcher mode and start creating any entities those are preety fast and easy to create except for the fact that when i create a centreline inside the sketch the system hangs like hell and from then on when i create any geometry (say like creating a circle) picking a centre takes a lot of time and picking the readius also takes a lot of time. any sugesstions on this. I already tried uninstalling and re installed the software but things didn't favour me. any suggestions on this please.

regards,
ash

Almost certainly a graphics issue. You don't say what graphics card you are using. I'm guessing it is a gamer card and not a supported CAD card. Try changing the driver, preferably to a PTC certified one, not necessarily the latest. Also, there are sites dedicated to tricking the gamer cards into behaving like CAD cards. The techniques and results depend on what you are using. I don't have the links handy.

What video card do you have? I would also consider getting more ram. I would check on PTC's website to see how your computer measures against their minimum requirements to run Pro/e. That would be my first place to start.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time.
