How is it possible for this compressor achieve up to 30:1 (with natural gas mol. weight 20) ?

Does it mean if inlet is 10 barG , the output delivered is 300 barG ?

But simple Google check reveals: -
axial compressor pressure ration is about 1.6:1
reciprocating compressor is only 4:1

How is pressure ratio define / calculated ?

Multiple stages of "high ratio" stages with up to two intercoolers. The picture on page 5 shows probably 3 main stages with 2 or 3 smaller stages within those main stages.

But yes, inlet 10 barg, outlet "Up to" 300 barg

Flowrates vary depending on which bit you lok at - one say max of about 55 mmscfd, the other says 254

They use can count on:

- Their so called power density technology which include the application of high head impellers plus in principle they use direct lubrification journal bearings which are capable of making the 2nd critical speed critically damped - that is to say spin at much higher rpm's;
- They leverage on their experience / reference in the design of high pressure compressors in general (>400 bar is well in their experience envelope);
- Their references as power density appplications being quite appreciable now, they also have strengths in the design of gearboxes which combine high speed ratio and power. They also have Lufkin on board if I am correct, which give them synergies in this regard. The gear can be a bottleneck when pushing speed and power so I am sure this counts.
