Hi all
i'm very confused about centrifugal electric motor driven pump!
what happened to pump amperage, when discharging valve closed 50% and less 10%?

Recommended for you

Move less water, draw less power, therefore less current.

For exact relationship, you need pump curver and motor characteristics.

Yes, ione, your link is much more complete than my answer, and I think there can be circumstances that would provide exception.

My experience, though, has never revealed a centrigugal pump that did not behave that way. Limited to HVAC chilled water and hot water pumps, though. They all have very similar characteristics.

I should have elaborated, but my phone was ringing!
