Our company using 2 centriSfugal pumps to attain flowrate of 900 m3 hr. I WISH to use one pump to attain same capacity. How it canbe attain. pls suggest

By purchasing a pump with a design capacity of 900 m3/hr at the differential head that your system needs to get to 900 m3/ hr.

You know the flow rate. I would suggest to check the discharge pressure on a local gauge or transmitter. The suction pressure can also be checked or calculated. You then know the differential pressure and thus the required pump head for the given flow rate. Now select a pump that can provide this flow rate at the specified system pressure. What's the liquid being pumped?

Considering the possible operation alternatives to improve your system as below:
- increase the motor speed for pumping more flow
- reduce the line pressure loss to increase the flow with the current pump discharge head
- replace with a larger pump for the desired flow rate

without the pump curves, installation data etc. the answer is likely NO. LI's response is the only valid suggestion.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
