hallo to all
does anyone know what the alarm"failure to shoot" on westfalia osa,osb models means?
and does anyone know where i can get wear limits and tightening torques for the above models?i have the manual but it is not very helpful.

"shoot" is when the disc lifts and "shoots" the soilds out of the centrifuge.

I just saw your post, I used to work for Westfalia and can answer your question. "Fail to shoot" is the alarm given when the controller does not sense the machine discharged the sludge. The sludge is discharged by the sliding piston lowering and opening holes in the bowl bottom, allowing the sludge to escape. The amp draw on the motor will increase when the piston is open due to the solids being ejected. This is how the controller "senses" if the piston opened or not. If you get this alarm, it could be due to not enough water pressure in the operating water line which does not supply enough water to the piston to open it, or the bowl may not have any liquid in it, so when the piston opens, no liquid escapes and the amps do not increase. Another possiblity is the bowl is clogged and the sludge cannot escape.
