If I have created a spline, how do I find the centroid?

I am a very new Unigraphics user and an intern, so any help would be amazing!

If you're talking about an open curve, are you sure that want the 'centroid' or a point half-way along the curve?

If it's the 'centroid', go to Anlysis -> Advanced Mass Properties -> Area Using Curves... and select the spline and hit a couple of OK's and you'll soon have the 'centroid' of teh spline.

Now if it's the half-way point, in UGS NX 4, go to Insert -> Datum/Point -> Point... and on the snap-point tool bar, select the 'Point Constructor' option and select the Point on Curve/Edge option and select the spline and enter in the dialog 0.50 and hit OK, If you're running UGS MX 5, go to Insert -> Datum/Point -> Point... and when the dialog comes up select the 'Point on Cuvre' option (second Icon from the Right, of from the list of optional methods), select the curve, and enter 0.50 in the 'Location on Curve' dialog and hit OK.

I hope that helps.
