I am working on a projest testing high temperature steel body at 850C. I wish to feed water and steam in and out of body through 1/2" pipe. The body will be insulated to reduce heat loss.

The fluid pipes cross the thermal insulation and will act as a thermal bridge increasing heat loss.

To reduce this loss I am considering ceramic piping like zirconia which would have a lower thermal conductivity instead of stainless steel.

Anybody know manufactured of cerimic pipe and fittings?

What kind of pressures? Check with Coors ceramics, they can do some fairly neat stuff. You can also look at the various "machineable ceramics" available, but I think you'll find many of them have fairly high thermal conductivity, approaching and even exceeding that of, say, titanium. Glass (Pyrex) tubing is readily available and capable of high temperatures. Use flanges with graphite seals (like valve stem packing) over the glass tube.
