Check valve(which is spring loaded) mounted on an automotive component is supposed to open above some rated pressure.
I have test data on check valve. Cracking pressure and flow rate through the check valve at different line pressure is observed. Different line pressure in test is simulated through throttle valve closing.
With CFD I would like to correlate the test data and flow rate through the check valve corresponding to different line pressure. I have tried STATIC analysis with different boundary configuration with no luck.
Do I need to run transient analysis? Static should never be used in this case (spring valve)?
