Hi,

I need to create a toolpath to cut a chamfer on my part. I have tried using the curve following but the tool tip always follows the edge causing the tool to gouge the chamfer. Therefore I will need to either specify a curve that is offsetted from the chamfer edge or to specify an offset on the tool somehow.

Does anyone know of an easier way?

thanks

Hi,

If you migrate to R11, you will be able to drive a countersink in a contouring operation. This will make it easier to drive and to verify the toolpath. In R10, you can simulate the countersink with an endmill in contouring and attach a representation ( CUT/UNCUT) of countesink to the tool. This way will see the result in the video replay.

Good luck
