Hi,

I am using MathCAD 14.

I'm having trouble assigning a new value to a specific position in a matrix.

Example:
I'd like to change the value of X[0,1 (first column, 2nd row)
I thought of something like this (which apparently isn’t working as expected):
X[0,1 := 5

All help is appreciated.

Regards,

RJ

LOL,

Apparently in a 2d matrix it works just fine (I meant to simplify the problem),
However, the matrix I’m isn't a normal matrix...

I have a couple of matrices inside another matrix... (a 3d matrix of some sorts).

This comes down to:
X[0,1[0,1:=1 (Which isn’t working as expected)

Since nobody took the bait: M:=X.Ni[1,1 and M[1,1:=NaN works just fine.

Nice,..why didn't I think of that in the first place...

Thanks!
