Hi,

Am trying to change the gap between the dimension line and the value in solidworks 2008. I did not find any setting that will change this gap (marked in attached figure).
has anyone ever tried to modify this setting?

I don't know of a setting which changes that gap.

Why do you want/need to?

A workaround if you have to, is to add a space above and below the <DIM> in the Dimension Manager.

The setting seems pretty standard, so I'm also not sure why you'd want to change it. If you'd like to add text or an object above or below the text, then you can simply add it to the dim text in the PropertiesManager.

It would be nice to be able to control this gap just to have the ability to do so, so I'm not opposed to having an ER for this.
