In NX 6 is there a way to change a hole type? For example if I insert a threaded hole but then later need to change it to just a screw clearance hole how can I do that? When I edit the hole all other types are greyed out.

Thanks,
Steve

NO, and before you ask, yes, we're aware of the value of being able to do this and it's on our list for implementation in a future version of NX.

John, how many releases does this take? It seems like such an easy enhancement, but it must not be. I can see several status 1 PRs entered for this.

stThree: At least you don't have to recreate the defining sketch. Right click on your hole feature and select "Make Sketch External". Then delete the hole feature. Create a new hole feature of different hole type and pick that sketch for the points. Make the sketch internal to the new hole feature (optional).

yeah, redundant I know, but I'll add a voice to the chorus here asking for this enhancement.
