Hello -

My previous years of background with CAD never fully utilized the wonders of the model space vs. paper space - Now I am getting the hang of it but I have a question.

Is there a quick way to change something I drew accidently in PS to MS? (without "copy" switch to MS "paste" - or is this the fastest way??)

Thanks!!

Kate

If you have the "Express Tools" ... go to "layout tools" in the "Express" pull down.
The 1st LISP should be "chspace".
This routine should do it for ya in a snap.

If you don't have it ... sorry in advance [sadeyes]

I have express tools, but no "layout" tools... I'll look into it and ask our CAD guy.

Thanks for the help!!!

You must be using R14. As I recall, it was in the MODIFY or TOOLS section of the R14 Express Tools pull-down. But, if Express Tools are loaded, you should be able to key-in CHSPACE.

Actually I have AutoCAD2000. And typing it doesn't work either.

But thanks for your help - I appreciate it!!!

A-HA!!!

Just talked to the cad guy... I don't have the latest version of Express tools! He'll update me on Monday.

Thanks all!

when your are in paper space, open a viewport and any drawing in model space will show itself automatically. Just think of a viewport in P.S. as a cut out thru a blank sheet of paper. P.S. is normally used for the titleblock and border for your drawing.
