Hi.
I'm a new user of this forumn. Have read a few of the questions and you all seem to come up with very helpful advice, which i'm in need off.
I have a number of drawings that where created in AutoCAD 2004 with no specific co-ordinate system and using paper and model space. We have been instructed by our client to issue all drawings to them in Microstation V7 format which does not support Ps,Ms so i have had to recreate all of the drawings in microstation using reference files in place of all the viewports. As some of the drawings had 18+ viewports for details this has taken some time to complete.
I have since been told that the coordinate system for the model reference file has to match their own coordinate system, which would allow any user to reference in the model with the plan element being inserted in exactly the right place.
As i'm primarily an AutoCAD user who has had to learn Microstation for this particular job i am not sure how to go about resetting the coordinates of the model to match those of the clients.
1. How do i reset the coordinate origin point in microstation reletive to my plan.
2. How do i rotate the coordinate system in microstation
3. Will doing the above mess up all of the drawings that reference this model.
Any response on the above would be greatfully recieved.
