Hi Folks,

Can someone please tell me how to change the color of a section views' hatch in a drawing?

This seems like it should be easy to do but apparently I'm dense or it isn't easily accomplished. According to SW06 help I can do this for an area hatch that I create but not for an hatch created as the result of a section view.

There isn't much of anything else there (that I have come across at least) on the subject.

As always any and all feedback is appreciated.

From the help:

To change the fill color, select the fill in the graphics area and click Line Color on the Line Format toolbar. You cannot change the color of an area hatch in a section view.

Other then that I see no mention of changing the color.

Hi Scott,

That's what I saw as well. I was hoping that extra pairs of eyes might scare up something that I missed in my searching.

Thanks,

If you change the hatch to none, and then add a manual hatch, to region, you can put the added hatch on a different layer with a different color.

Hi GTCadGuy,

That's exactly what I am planning on doing. Thank you!

Under Tool/Options, you can set your hatch colors to what you always want them to be.

Hi Chris,

I looked there but nothing doing. Do know where I should be looking specifically?

Thanks,

I tried the hatch on a different layer, and it works only if you use the toolbar button "color display mode". You must have that button toggled off.

I'm sorry, was not thinking this morning.[morning]
On the dwg, open the Layer toolbar. Create a new layer called Hatch. Make it the color you want. Everytime you make a new hatch, select the Hatch Layer.
Make this layer on your templates also.

Hi Chris,

No problem. That is a nice little trick actually. I'm going to keep that in mind.

Thanks again!
