Hello and Good day,
On the drawings that we create here. We use cable to make our harness's and such. when we make the upper level drawing of the assemblies. We change the main (we make it a draft entity) assembly...ex. a compressor engine...in and we change the linestyle to phantom, yellow. It's just background geometry. Then we bring in a view of the cable assembly and place it on top of the background view.
I have found that using shrinkwrap makes it much easier to bring in those large assemblies just for the background of a drawing. Problem is I still have to break it into draft entities and still have to highlight the part to change linestyle. But, when you do this in wildfire ver. 2 your only allowed to pick no more than 1200 segmented lines. If you pick 8000 pro will crash.
Shrink wrap comes into a drawing already in phantom line, except it is thick lined at default. How can I change that? So that when I bring a shrinkwrap into a drawing it comes in phantom, thinline?
