Hi all

Is it possible to change the identification of a series of features? I have a series of subtracted surfaces which I wish to identify as holes (within the Manufacturing environment) and I cannot currently pick them up as the system does not recognize these surfaces as forming a hole.

I could construct a surface point but, given the number of these holes, I'd really rather do it as a 'holes in face' operation.

Rodney,

You cannot change the type of a feature. You can make the same geometry using a hole, a circular pocket, a general pocket, a subtracted cylinder or a subtracted tube. Each of these is based on different sets of parameters, and although they can be set to describe equivalent geometry they do so in different ways.

What you can do is to rename the features individually or you could add them to a group of features which you could name to reflect your design intent.

Hope this helps

Best Regards

Hudson

Thanks Hudson

I'll try that and see where it takes me.
