I have been trying to find a way to take a Family of assemblies (created through a family table) and have Pro/E break them into individual assemblies without the family table association so I can switch to a different platform. I know "save a copy" does this, but is there a way to automate it without having to open each instance?

Also I would need to change existing parts created with a family table used in an assembly to non-FT for the same reason. Any ideas/suggestions???

Thanks...

Open the generic parts & assemblies (& drawings that reference them), open all the instances then got to the generics & delete the family tables. All parts & assemblies become generic. Be sure to save everything afterwards. Depending on the size of your assemblies this could be very time consuming & difficult. You may want to start at the top & work your way down one level at a time. Or you may want to reconsider. I have never understood why so many people have this desire to get rid of family tables.
