Hello,

I am importing several .iges files. I need to export several .stl files based on this file. The orientation of the coordinate system is critical. Ideally, I would like to redefine the original import. The location is correct, but the directions are not. (i.e. x should be y)

Is these easy or possible? I know that I can create a new coordinate system and use that for my export of the .stl. But that is not quite what I want to do.

My only thought was to create a new coordinate system, export it as an iges and then re-import it again. This would get me what I want, but does not seem like the fastest method.

any thoughts? thank you in advance,
Josh

Create additional coordinate systems within the Part/assembly and assemble the igs data to these that way the Igs can be translated by reorienting the co ordinate systems but will export relative to the global. I would suggest creating one co ordinate system per import then you can control each one independently
