I work at a company where we subcontract the making of the detail drawings. The assembly drawings are made in Inventor 2013 and the detail drawings in AutoCAD 2013, they are not linked. For our products that's a good solution on this moment.
However, in some occations we could like to keep the link with Inventor without sending the Inventor files (iam's and ipt's) to our subcontractor AND without giving the subcontractor permission to acces our Vault.
We are thinking to provide the subcontractor the dwg files with only the views and to reconnect them to the Inventor model when the subcontractor is finished.
Has anyone experience with this and/or do you have tips?
