Does anyone have a faster way, or know of a program that will replace the sheet format of multiple solidworks drawing files in a directory. I have 600+ prints that need to have a customers title block replaced on them. I also need to retain the custom properties of the file.

Thanks,

DIngersoll

Unless there is one out there, that would take a bit of programming. Are you at all familiar with the SW API? DimensionalSolutions@Core.com

netshop21 reported some limited success with changing title blocks in thread559-13500. Watch out that you don't lose any custom properties associated with your original template file!

DIngersoll,

I can send you the macro I use (written with help from dsi), maybe you can improve it. Modify it to suit your needs. Do not use more than two layers for your sheet formats. My macro replaces the sheet format and keeps the custom properties but it doesn't automatically update the drawing. After runing the macro I have to go into sheet properties and click on "reload sheet format" and then updates.
