Here is the story line. We have a weldment/assy that is complete, drawing and all. We need to make an almost identical weldment/assy with the exception of (2) parts. Is there a way to do a Save a Copy, give it a new number, change the (2) parts in the weldment/assy open the drawing and change all the view references to the new part number you created when you did a Save a Copy. The drawing in our case is always referencing back to the original weldment/assy. We have not found a way to change this, does anybody know how to get this accomplished. Let me know if you need any further explanation.

Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

I find it easier to do a rename/in session. Just open the drawing, rename it in session (nothing changes on disk), open the assembly model, rename it in session, make the changes & save the drawing.
