Hi. I am currently running NX7.5 (along with 3 & 6)on a 32 bit Dell Precision M6400 with XP as the OS. Quadro M3700 graphics card.

I need to go to 64 bit. Does anyone know if my M6400 will run ok for NX7.5 on Windows 7 - 64 bit system? A guy at Seimans said that my graphics card is not certified but it still might work. That didn't really help me. Does anyone know if it will work or not?

Basically, I am looking to add more RAM so I will have 16 G Ram, putting in a new hard drive and a fresh install of Win 7 - 64 Bit.

Should this be OK? I would rather not buy a whole new system If I can help it. This laptop is very fast and fairly new.

Thanks in advance.

Adam

A year ago I used to run a M6300 with an older Quadro FX1800, 12gb RAM, 240Gb SSD and Windows 7 64bit with no problems at all.
As long as you can get drivers (which I would think shouldn't be a problem since it's newer hardware than I was using) it will be fine.

I had NX2, NX3, NX4, NX5, NX6 NX7 & NX7.5 all running on it so you will be fine.

FYI the only issuse you will have is installing the license service for NX3 on Windows 7(search through eng-tips as there have been posts on how to get the license service installed for NX4 which is the same thing).
