Jul 29, 2008 #2 metengr Materials Oct 2, 2003 15,478 1THN1; The notch toughness concern is the base metal (CS) heat affected zone (HAZ) at -46 deg C, not the Inconel. So, placement of the notch must be in the base metal HAZ. Upvote 0 Downvote
