Guys, FYI: I am NOT selling anything, nor do I in fact have a product to sell. I'm not intending to promote, sell or recruit with my post, and I don't believe I'm doing any of those things.
Okay, so here goes:
IF I were to develop a simple, inexpensive process simulator software package that is far cheaper and simpler than ...say ...HYSYS, would engineers (perhaps those who work for very small engineering companies) have use for such a software? When I say simpler, I mean without a lot of the HYSYS functionality (dynamics, crystalization, electrolyte thermo packages, etc.). Just "plain Jane" vessels, pumps, compressors, Xchangers, with Peng Robinson thermo package.
Would it suffice, for validation purposes, to provide a few simple commercial simulator files and demonstrate that the new software closely mirrors the results of a professional software?
