Chemical Treatment For Large Thermal Storage Hydronic Pipe System

I am working on a project that uses thermal storage to heat/remove heat in a hydronic heating/cooling system. There is a large tank that is about 125,000 gallons that serves a hydronic piping system that is about 150 gallons (400' of 3" steel pipe).

The problem is that the tank is already epoxy lined but the steel pipe will require some form of corrosion treament. We have looked at using molybdenium as a chemical treatment for the pipe work but that will require that all 125,000 be treated. This is a significant cost to have this done.

The system is already built so a different pipe material is not an option, and the water will be flowing almost constantly.

Is there any other way to provide corrosion protection to the steel piping without providing enough chemicals for all the water? Possibly a different chemical treatment that may be more cost effective?

Thanks for any help.

this is a closed system right? So you would only have to treat once and then add a little refresh once in a while.
Call one of the big water treatment companies. They have dozens of things that you could use for this. considering the limited temperatures you will have a lot of flexibility.
