Chilled Beams Load Calculations in Trace 700

Hello,

I'm trying to model a dedicated OA system with chilled beams in Trace 700. In Trace, this translates to a main cooling coil (the AHU or dedicated outside air system) and the auxiliary coil (the chilled beams). My problem is that I can't figure out how to set up the primary air conditions that I want. This is a custom DOAS, and we want to have the primary air delivered to the chilled beams at 58F DB, with 49 gr/lbs.

Usually I'd use the Dedicated OA tab in Trace to set the DOAS conditions, but for Chilled beams, adding a DOAS means you're adding another coil to the main and auxiliary, which we're not.

Does anyone here have experience doing load calcs on Trace with Chilled Beams?

if you haven't, try to call Trane support, which is free with your subscription.

Is there a reason to deliver at 58°F this seems a tad too warm to dehumidfy, unless you use a secondary wheel (like in Semco Pinacle). You really need to dehumdify well for chilled beams.

costumary DOAS or not, wouldn't you regulate DOAS DAT with the same Building automation system?
