Chiller Tube Pull

Do both headers on each end of a centrifugal chiller need to be removed when pulling / cleaning the tubes? Or just one end? Why I'm asking is because I'd like to know if it make sense to rotate the chiller to get the piping connections on the other end of the chiller opposite the tube pull clearance so they can perform maintenance without removing piping connections. But if both ends need to be removed, then that defeats the purpose.

I won't tell you what car I have, but please tell me if I need to remove bar X and Nut 7 to access the headgaskets.....

you need to look into manual for that specific chiller. Or ask the manufacturer. If you don't know how to do it, you should hire someone.

Typically you also do an eddy-current test to see which tubes are near failing to plug those off.

Both need to be removed. Either piping is provided with Victaulic to allow removal of piping in the way or call for marine box headers (with removable cover and side connections to piping so piping does not have to be removed).
