Hi,
Please how do I determine which Autoclave fittings to use for hydraulic penetrations on a presure vessel ?

The penetrator will be handling up to 15000 psi and there are autoclave fittings going from a quarter inch(1/4") to one inch (1") that can handle such pressure.

Which of them do I choose and what factors should I consider in making a choice ?

Thanks for your assistance

PS:I am a new Engineer and still have alot to learn concerning pressure vessels.

Benjoe,

Maybe I am oversimplifying things, but I would think the primary factor in picking the fitting size is the flow rate you require plus any allowance you need for crud gumming up the works.
